Bob Papadakis
Adjutant - Navy
Bob Papadakis is the Adjutant for VFW Young-McCool Post 12220. He was privileged to serve in the U.S. Navy for 23 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. Bob began his career as a Bombardier/Navigator in the A-6 Intruder, and transitioned to the EA-6B Prowler after the Intruder’s retirement. He commanded the Wizards of VAQ-133 and completed his career in the Pentagon as the EA-6B / EA-18G Requirements Officer on the OPNAV staff. Following his Navy career, Bob was hired by Boeing to establish the company’s office aboard NAS Whidbey Island, where he supported the Navy customer and their EA-18G Growler and P-8 Poseidon aircraft for over 16 years. Bob is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and resides in Anacortes, Washington with his wife, Jeannette.
